LSR 24-2162 relative to allowing property owners to opt out of public utilities.
- This would allow property owners to opt out of public utilities which pass their property
- Currently property owners are required to participate in public water, sewer and power with some exceptions.
- This bill provides for a way for property owners to pay to access the utility in the future, prohibits pricing such late attachment in a punitive manner, and provides remedy for punitive pricing.
